5. In the "... and a color scheme" box click "Blue" (or the color of your choice).
6. In the choice below the photo of the page, click "New Style".
Important: Make sure "New Style" is checked and showing in the display and on the next page. (You might have to click your mouse again anywhere on the page after making your "New Style" choice if the style buttons move.) The Flash page is usually available with the "New Style" selection.
7. Make sure the "Apply color scheme to all pages on your Website" box is checked.
8. Click "Next".
9. Your page should appear like the website design page, or the website design layout and color of your choice.
(If the "Available Pages" page appears, simply select and click "Catalog page", then click "next". Click "next" again on the following page. Your page should show up now.)
YOU HAVE COMPLETED BUILDING A WEBPAGE!
This is your website design layout and color using the block design and you can stop here and use the basic color that you have chosen. If you are happy with your website design layout and color, go down to the "Complete The Settings Page" section below.
If you want another color website design or if you want to try other color choices, then continue at "The Settings Page" below.
Building A General Main Website Catalog Page
(Note: Links are to the website builder demo, simply use the demo as a guide as you build your website using your SiteStudio Website Builder)
10. In the Site Studio, click on the "Add Page" button at the top of the page.
11. On the next page, which will be the "Available Page", choose "Catalog page" in the box and click "Next". On the following page, click "Next" again. Your page should show up.
CONGRATULATIONS! You have just added a page. You are building your website.
Choose one of the following options to continue:
If you are satisfied with the color design, go down to the "COMPLETE THE SETTINGS PAGE" section below.
If you want another color website design as it appears on a website design color page or if you want to try other color choices, then continue through the rest of the steps.
The Settings Page changes the color and look of your website design.
Click on any picture below to get the Settings Page for that color design and use the steps on the page for that color. Return to this page at the "COMPLETE THE SETTINGS PAGE" step below to complete the remaining steps.
(The image in the link is only a sample of the Settings page, use the information below for your burgundy design in your SiteStudio Website Builder.) If you want information for the other colors shown, click pictures above.
Use the following instructions to know which boxes to change on your Settings page.
12. In Site Studio, click the "Settings" tab. (Note: this is not the Site Settings link at the top of the page, it is the "Settings" tab.) You will see your Settings page with boxes filled in with numbers. Simply find the matching box and fill it in with the following information below.
Only fill in the boxes in the instructions below, leave the other boxes unchanged.
Starting on the right column, at the top of the Settings page, only fill in the following three color boxes: (make sure the # always appears before the number or letter).
A. In the "Title" box change the numbers in the Color box to: #D19A94
B. In the "Text" box change the numbers in the Color box to: #D19A94
C. In the "Headings" box change the numbers in the Color box to: #D19A94
Starting on the left column, at the top of the Settings page, only change the following boxes as you change the number and letters: (make sure the # always appears before the number or letter).
A. Background Color: #8F3D3D
B. Style Color 1: #8F3D3D
C. Style Color 2: #330000
D. Style Color 3: #330000
E. Style Color 4: #330000
F. Style Color 5: #C27070
G. Style Text color: #D19A94
H. Link color: #D19A94
I. Active Link color: #D19A94
J. Visited Link color: #D19A94
Click "Next". Your page should appear with the new color design.
Note: If your page looks different that the pages shown here, make sure that you have chosen the right layout design in steps 1-9 above, before you change the Settings page information.
As you build each page, click the "Settings" tab and repeat the steps above.
You can change your color design any time you want. Make sure the colors show up great on your monitor.
You can always change your color design by clicking on the color palette next to each box on the Settings Page to change the color web page design. By all means, feel free to experiment until you get the right color design.
COMPLETE THE SETTINGS PAGE
Now that you are satisfied with your website design and layout, you can finish your Settings page.
13. In Site Studio, click the "Settings" tab again.
At the top of the Settings Page, fill in the following boxes, using your important website keywords.
Page Title:
Button Text:
File Name:
Note: Using your keywords whenever possible, fill in your "Page Title", "Button Text" (try to use just one or two words for your button), and "File Name". (For example, your file name will look like this: artworks.html Make sure the ".html" is always included with your file name.)
Scroll down and click "Next". Your Settings page is now finished and you can continue building your website page.
Now You Can Continue To Build Your Website
14. In Site Studio, click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page.
15. Click the "Edit" button or (Click the "Add" button if you don't see the "Edit" button) on the page.
This will open the SiteStudio Editor. Start adding text, pictures, etc. to your page in the Site Studio Editor.
17. In the SiteStudio Editor: To save your page, find and click the "Save and Exit" button on the top menu to exit the SiteStudio Editor. (Make sure you always click this button, because the button next to it is "Exit Without Saving"!)
18. You will see the "Paragraph Text" box on the next page. Do not type in this box, unless you know html code.
19. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Next".
20. You will see the "Add Products" page next. Scroll down to the bottom of this page and click "Next".
21. You should see your finished webpage on the next page.
Feel free to edit your page as many times as needed following the previous steps.
CONTINUE TO BUILD A WEBSITE
Simply continue to build your following website pages with this design and repeat the steps above beginning with the "Building The General Main Website Page" steps. Building a website is just that simple!
PUBLISH IT!
When you are finished building and editing your website, simply click the "Publish" button at the top of the SiteStudio page. Your website will be published to the internet. You should check to make sure everything is fine. You can always continue to build your website by clicking on the "Edit" button, make your changes and click the "Publish" button again.
